Marjorie A. Willis served for 25 years as the Director of an ADA accredited Dental Assisting Education Program in Hartford, CT. In addition to her administrative duties, Ms. Willis served as course instructor during varying semesters for:

Ms. Willis has completed a BS degree in Vocational Education as well as a Master’s Degree in Adult Education. Her clinical expertise comes from 12 years in private practice where she worked as both a dental assistant and a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Most recently Ms. Willis served on the Task Force of the CSDA (Connecticut State Dental Association) to address the shortage of dental assistants in Connecticut. She currently is involved with the Department of Health Services and serves as a member of a committee to examine the impact of expanding the role of the dental assistant in improving access to care for Connecticut’s citizens.

Ms. Willis continues to encourage students to improve their education not only through continuing education programs for dental professionals but also through institutions of higher learning. The ultimate goal of seeing every dental assistant earn the CDA credential continues to be in the forefront of her career as an educator
